Test every protection feature on safe, fictitious data.
This page contains deliberately varied webpage elements so users can test automatic screen protection, right-click masks, privacy zones, dynamic content, iframes, shadow DOM, forms, tables, scrolling, and reveal controls without exposing real information.
Recommended test sequence
Complete these steps after installing Privacy Screen. Premium-only tests require an active Premium license.
Test full-page protection
Choose an inactivity trigger, wait for it to activate, and confirm that the entire page becomes blurred or shielded.
Mask an element
Right-click a name, balance, table cell, form field, avatar, iframe value, or shadow-DOM value and choose “Always blur this element.”
Draw a privacy zone
Right-click the analytics panel and draw a rectangular blur zone over part of the chart and confidential summary.
Reload and revisit
Refresh the page, close and reopen the tab, and confirm that saved masks and zones return without exposing protected data.
Static sensitive elements
These stable elements are ideal for testing right-click masking, highlighting, renaming, disabling, reselecting, and deletion.

Form-field masking
Test blur behavior on text inputs, email fields, phone fields, dropdowns, text areas, labels, and entire form groups.
Fictitious customer edit form
Dynamic and single-page application content
Mask one of the generated elements, then replace or append content. This tests mutation handling and persistent selector-based blur rules.
Dynamic records
Privacy-zone test area
Draw a rectangular privacy zone over the chart, summary box, or both. Resize the browser and scroll to confirm that the zone remains aligned with the intended area.
Iframe masking
Right-click an element inside the frame and save a mask. Then use the frame’s dynamic-content button and reload this page.
Shadow-DOM masking
This custom component stores its visible values inside an open shadow root. Right-click a value to test shadow-DOM target handling.
Custom web component
Scrolling and sticky content
Test saved masks while scrolling inside a container. The fixed test badge also provides a target outside the normal document flow.
Automatic activation and reveal checklist
These tests use extension settings rather than special page code.
Activation tests
Test page inactivity, browser inactivity, whole-computer inactivity, computer lock, pointer leave, tab switch, window focus loss, minimize, Protect Now, schedules, profiles, and Presentation Mode.
Reveal tests
Test reveal for 5 seconds, reveal for 15 seconds, reveal until the next tab switch, hold Alt to reveal, click-and-hold reveal, and complete Disabled mode.
Appearance tests
Test blur strength, overlay shading, white screen, black screen, custom colors, custom message, background image, logo, clock, and light or dark shield content.
Persistence tests
Test Chrome Sync, settings export, settings import, mask and zone enable/disable controls, profile switching, browser restart, and extension reload.
